Middle East Comic Convention 2015 marked the soft launch of my art crew The Middle Beasts.
To start off with some cool stuff, I produced a triptych of my favourite Walking Dead characters to print and sell at our booth.

Heres the process:
I drew all the pieces together to make sure the piece flows nicely into each other. The blue block was there to remind me where each piece falls.
I don't usually tinker much which the layout, so you'll always find that the initial sketch isn't very different to the final.
The inks are finalised and the block colours are laid down. Obviously these aren't the colours I end with, they're just there to help me define where everything is.
Here's the final. With the colour scheme I initally wanted to go for something a bit simplier, using only a few colours but once I started colouring the characters I couldn't help but render them all in unique colours.
The idea was to have them fighting zombies within a dusk type setting, contrasting the hazy pinks and oranges of the sun setting with the bluey purples of the night.

Fancy pants animated gif, because it looks awesome.
The Triptych:
Rick and Abraham. Abraham in the background, as he is in the show. A shame, because he has one cool ass moustache and flat top/crew cut combo. I also snuck in a zombie self portrait, as one does.
Carl and Daryl. CARLLLL AND DARRYLLL. Its just fun to say! Carl is my favourite, with his sheep dog hair and bad assery. Daryl is a fan favourite and for good reason. One word, Pancho.
Michonne, need I say more?
The zombie on the right was a blast to draw.
